Description
Versagel® S 1000 is a solid gel based on Hydrogenated Polyisobutene. A thermoplastic block copolymer technology, with the addition of an N-acyl amino acid derivative. The finished gel is solid but not brittle, elastic yet moldable, and can be used alone or as a rheological modifier in an existing formula. Versagel S 1000 can give unique textures (light after feel) to various types of formulations.
Visually appealing, odorless and do not discolor with age. They are easier and safer to handle and formulate than gels that use metal stearates or fumed silica. They provide fragrance retention in skin care products and furnish waterproofing properties to sunscreen products. Furthermore, they are hydrophobic, thermally reversible and without syneresis (oil bleed).
