Sunscreen Bar SPF 50

This mineral dispersion sunscreen was designed to provide globally acceptable SPF 50 performance. It is water-resistant, preservative-free, and can be customized using natural butters and oils. The combination of Biochemica® Cocoa Butter and Biochemica® Sweet Almond Oil softens, moisturizes and helps heal skin, and contributes a nice fragrance. Olive oil properties are also present in natural, COSMOS-certified Olivem® 900.

In vivo testing in a US laboratory (5 subjects) yielded static SPF 59.5. Colipa Guideline (2011) delivered SPF ~ 55, PFA (PPD) ~19 performance with critical wavelength 376 nm. UVA1/UV = 0.82.

PREPARATIVE PROCEDURE

1	In the main vessel, combine and mix phase A and heat up to 75°C with mixing.
2	Add phase B in with mixing until uniform, then add phase C in.
3	After uniform, start cooling. Stop mixing at 60°C .
