Description
Sytenol® A is the first natural alternative to retinol, offering comparable clinical performance without the irritation, dryness, or sensitivity often associated with traditional retinoids.
With a purity of ≥99%, it is both photochemically and hydrolytically stable, allowing for safe daytime use without photosensitivity concerns. Extensive studies show that Sytenol® A modulates retinoid-binding and metabolizing genes, significantly improves dermal and dermo-epidermal junction proteins, and stimulates Collagen I, III, and IV production for stronger, firmer skin. It also enhances hydration by upregulating hyaluronic acid and aquaporin 3 synthesis.
Highlights:
- As a plant-based compound, it offers a gentler alternative to synthetic retinol, with a lower risk of irritation.
- In a 12-week study, bakuchiol users reported up to 5 times less facial skin scaling and stinging than retinol users.
- The same study showed a 59% reduction in hyperpigmentation, compared to only a 44% reduction in the retinol group.
- Unlike some retinoids, it is photostable, i.e., it’s stable when exposed to light, making it suitable for daytime use.
