Dental Silica for superior performance in toothpaste applications. ZEODENT® 124 is our medium-to-high cleaning silica, offering improved optical performance over ZEODENT® 103. It also has reduced abrasion, making it more gentle on teeth enamel. Like ZEODENT® 103, it can be used as a stand-alone abrasive or it can provide “boosted” cleaning performance in standard toothpaste formulations.
ZEODENT® 124 can be used as a stand-alone abrasive at a typical loading of 12–18 % for effective cleaning and whitening. When mixed with ZEODENT® 113 standard cleaning silica, a wide range of cleaning and whitening levels can be targeted.
ZEODENT® 124 Silicon Dioxide is Evonik’s medium-to-high cleaning silica, offering improved optical performance over ZEODENT® 103. It also has reduced abrasion, making it gentler on teeth enamel. When formulated with ZEODENT® 116, we gentle cleaning silica provides equivalent levels of cleaning at significantly reduced levels of abrasion for the same total loading of silica. This gives formulators the ability to develop kinds of toothpaste that can deliver the benefits of high cleaning and stain removal while reducing the impact on enamel, dentin and the gum line.
