Description
Versagel® MC is a patented gelled synthetic hydrocarbons targeting many cosmetic and personal applications. As emollients, it has extraordinarily good clarity, excellent thermal and UV stability, and versatile chemical compatibility.
Versagel® MC grades are drier and lighter moisturizing gels for Personal Care. It is a gelled Isohexadecane, a mixture of highly branched C16 isoparaffins with a small proportion of C12 and C20 paraffin of similar structure.
- Low elasticity – the gel is less stringy
- Perfect candidate for non-greasy emollients
- Improves emulsion stability
- Proven track record with gelled baby oil
Visually appealing, odorless, and do not discolor with age. They are easier and safer to handle and formulate than gels that use metal stearates or fumed silica. They provide fragrance retention in skin care products and furnish waterproofing properties to sunscreen products. Furthermore, Versagel MC grades are hydrophobic, thermally reversible, and without syneresis (oil bleed).
